  • CBS SportsLine.com ~ Information on major college and professional teams, covering football, baseball, basketball, hockey, auto racing, tennis, soccer, golf, boxing, horse racing, Olympics, and fantasy sports. It contains complete schedules, scores, and statistics for all teams, plus a live scoring feature. Most features are freely available, however some require a subscription in order to view. [It] puts sports in perspective with intelligent analysis, insightful interviews, and a keen sense of humor." Includes news stories, feature articles, audio clips, book reviews, and commentary.   • Recreation.gov ~ Contains "information about several thousand publicly-managed recreation sites....Most of these sites are managed by Federal agencies (National Park Service, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Forest Service)." Descriptions include contact and weather information, directions, links, and available recreational activities. Searchable by keyword, and browsable by state, activity (such as biking, camping, fishing, or hunting), and name of recreational site.
  • Yahoo! Directory of Sports ~ A directory of sites related to sports. Topics include individual sports, coaching, collectibles, gambling, libraries, medicine, and the Olympic Games. Searchable and browsable.

  • Healthfinder: Your Guide to Reliable Health Information ~ This site for consumers contains a directory of health organizations and links to hundreds of sites featuring "government and nonprofit health and human services information."
