Search Biography Resource Center for brief and extensive biographies, articles, and web resources about people in American and world life, both past and present.~ Enter a woman's name. To generate a list of possible topics: Click Biographical Facts > Enter an occupation > Select American nationality > Select Female under Gender > Select Birth Year is before 1970 (or other date) > Click search or hit enter to generate a list of women to research.

Search Britannica Online for reference information in literature, science, social science, and history.  Britannica Online also carries news stories from The New York Times. ~ Biographies and timelines on "300 Women Who Changed the World." You may also search by any woman's name or women's history topic.

Search the Student Research Center for magazines, newspapers, reference articles, and primary documents. Search NoveList for reviews, annotations and much more for over 125,000 fiction titles. ~ Click Student Research Center > Enter a woman's name or women's issue > Hit enter. During Women's History Month (March), click New Search and scroll down to see the Spotlight Topic on Women's History.

Use eLibrary to search for magazine and newspaper articles along with a variety of media including maps, images, audio/video, and television/radio transcripts.~ Click on a topic, subject area, region, or woman's name to see Women's Biographies. You may also click on the Search Tab at the top to conduct a regular search.

Search Issues & Controversies for authoritative, up-to-date, in-depth and objective information on the most prominent and hotly debated issues of the day. Search for women's issues such as:

Newsbank carries articles from U.S. and international sources covering politics, science, social science, and arts/culture. ~ Search for articles on the Women's Rights Movement and a wide variety of Women's History topics.

Search Opposing Viewpoints for viewpoint, reference, periodical, and primary source articles on social and political issues. ~ Select an issue from the list or enter a topic to search. This database supports research in a wide variety of current issues including abortion, women in the workplace, women in the military and others.

Search SIRS Renaissance for reference information in the arts and humanities. ~ Click Quick/Advanced search to enter a topic or woman's name. This database specializes in the arts such as music, painting, drama, film, etc.

Search SIRS Researcher for reference information in social issues, health, science, and business. ~ Select a women's history article from the list or click Quick/Advanced search to enter a topic or woman's name. This database specializes in current issues.
