Search the Student Research Center for magazines, newspapers, reference articles, and primary documents. Search NoveList for reviews, annotations and much more for over 125,000 fiction titles.

  • Example search: enter "Brave New World" and "criticism" in two separate search boxes
  • Change "Select a Field" to "SU Subject Terms"
  • Click search or hit enter and select articles.

Use eLibrary to search for magazine and newspaper articles along with a variety of media including maps, images, audio/video, and television/radio transcripts.

  • Example search: enter "Huckleberry Finn" and criticism in the search box
  • Change search type from natural language to Boolean operator and click search or hit enter.

  • Click Advanced Search
  • Enter To Kill a Mockingbird in a search box and change the drop-down menu to Title-Exact Match
  • Select Critical Essay in the Document Type menu
  • Click search or hit enter; select essays.

Search SIRS Renaissance for reference information in the arts and humanities. Example search:

  • Enter Nineteen eighty-four (book) in the subject headings search box and click search.
  • Click on the hyperlinked subject Nineteen eighty-four (book) and select article.
