Search Britannica Online for reference information in literature, science, social science, and history.  Britannica Online also carries news stories from The New York Times.

Search example: enter United States and click Go or hit enter > Select the top left article on the United States > Scroll down to History -- Imperialism > Expand the selection and use pages 203 - 206. Other searches: China, Cuba, Philippines, Hawaii, Panama.
