The Writing Center

The Writing Center is located in the Learning Resource Center or LRC. The Writing Center should only be entered through the hallway in the C-Wing. It is located across from the Foreign Language Lab.

The Writing Center consists of three computer labs--North, South, and East. The hours of operation of the Writing Center are from 7:15 to 3:15. The Writing Center is used first and foremost for classroom instruction, but does allow for drop-ins
(for academic purposes only) when there are available computers. Student ID's are required for drop-in students.
No exceptions.

The Writing Center is staffed by Jo-Anne Sweiger and can be reached at 847.692.8078.

Writing Center Tutors

The Writing Center is staffed each period of the day by a member of the English Department. Before or after school, students should meet with the teacher of their English class. While seeking out your English teacher for a writing conference is always the best option for writing assistance, the tutors in the Writing Lab are also available to assist students at any stage of the writing process.
