This website was
created by the Maine South English Department to aid students who
struggle with basic grammatical concepts. This site contains PowerPoint
presentations for each of the eight parts of speech. Each presentation
includes a tutorial, downloadable tip sheets and worksheets, as well
as links to online quizzes and activities.

Former Poet Laureate
of the United States Billy Collins created the Poetry 180 program to
make it easy for students to hear or read a poem on each of the 180
days of the school year. The poems on this site, hosted by the Library
of Congress, have been selected with high school students in mind.Click
